Privacy policy

Summary

RedactShot does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data. The app has no account system, advertising, analytics, or network permission.

Images and text recognition

RedactShot processes only an image that the user explicitly selects with Android Photo Picker or shares to the app from another application. The image is decoded and edited locally on the device.

Text recognition uses a bundled Google ML Kit model that runs on the device. Source images, recognized text, redaction rectangles, and edited images are not uploaded to Extenup or to a remote service.

Device storage

When the user chooses Save or Share, RedactShot creates a PNG in Pictures/RedactShot on supported Android versions. That output remains under the user's control until the user deletes it. The app does not keep a separate cloud copy.

The app does not retain a history of source images or redaction sessions. In-memory working data is discarded by Android after the session or application process ends.

Permissions and access

RedactShot uses Android Photo Picker, which grants access only to the image the user selects. The app does not request broad photo-library, camera, microphone, contacts, location, advertising ID, or internet access.

Children

RedactShot is a general-audience utility and is not directed specifically to children. Because the app does not collect or transmit personal data, Extenup does not knowingly collect personal information from children through RedactShot.

Changes

This policy will be updated before a release materially changes the app's data handling. The effective date at the top will also be updated.
