Privacy Policy for ScrollJoin: Screenshot Stitch
ScrollJoin: Screenshot Stitch ("ScrollJoin") is an offline screenshot-stitching application. This Privacy Policy explains the information the app accesses and how that information is handled.
Information the app accesses
ScrollJoin accesses only images that you select through the Android system photo picker or explicitly share to ScrollJoin from another app. ScrollJoin does not request access to your full photo library.
The selected image files and their content may contain personal information chosen by you. ScrollJoin uses them only to provide the screenshot-arranging, overlap-detection, stitching, preview, save, and share features that you request.
Local processing and session storage
Selected images are copied to ScrollJoin's private cache and processed entirely on your device. They are not uploaded to Extenup or any server.
ScrollJoin stores local session state so that an active editing session can be restored after the app is recreated. This state includes local references to the selected files, image dimensions, and stitch settings. It remains on your device and is not transmitted.
When you choose Start over, ScrollJoin deletes the selected source copies for that session and clears the stored session state. When the app starts, unreferenced cached source files older than 24 hours are automatically deleted; files referenced by the active editing session are preserved. Android may also clear private cache files as part of normal device storage management.
Data collection and sharing
ScrollJoin does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal information, image content, device identifiers, analytics, diagnostics, or advertising data with Extenup or third parties. The app has no account system, advertising, analytics, tracking SDKs, or cloud processing. The app does not request the Android Internet permission and contains no network feature.
Saving results
ScrollJoin exports a newly rendered RGBA PNG. The exported PNG contains the rendered image pixels and does not copy EXIF metadata or other source-file metadata.
- On Android 10 and later, when you tap Save, ScrollJoin saves the PNG through Android MediaStore in
Pictures/ScrollJoin. - On Android 6 through 9, when you tap Save, the Android document picker asks you to choose the file's destination.
Saved files remain in the destination you selected until you delete them using your gallery, file manager, or another compatible app.
Sharing results
When you tap Share, ScrollJoin creates a temporary PNG in its private cache and opens the Android system share sheet. You choose the receiving app and recipient. ScrollJoin grants the selected receiving app temporary read access to that PNG through Android FileProvider.
A previous temporary share file is deleted when ScrollJoin creates a new share file. Android may also clear the private cache. A receiving app or service handles the image under its own terms and privacy policy after you choose to share it.
Backups
Cloud backup and device-transfer backup are disabled for ScrollJoin. The app's private session files, preferences, and cached images are excluded from Android backup and device transfer.
Children's privacy
ScrollJoin is not directed to children under 13. ScrollJoin does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users.
Changes to this policy
If this Privacy Policy changes, the updated version will be published at the same public location with a revised effective date.
